Fishing

State Fishing License and LCB Use Permit is required. Lake Carl Blackwell is not an easy lake to fish. Patience and a willingness to get to know the lake is required for success. That does not mean fishing is not fun at LCB, it only means it's a challenge. Check out our enclosed fishing dock. Noodling is not allowed at Lake Carl Blackwell.

Boating

With a 3 lane, lighted ramp built in the Fall of 2003, Lake Carl Blackwell now has four active ramps for your convenience. Please note the locations on the park area map. The more traditionally family oriented swimming area is located just across the road from the lake store. Its gradually sloping bank allows easy access to children and folks with any type of handicap. This area also is buoyed off from water traffic. Pine Grove has a sand beach and the newly expanded Ski Point area is a great place for water play!
